The foraging of the available elements gives way to captivating the experience. Ancient techniques like brewing, fermenting, steam distillation, tincturing, macerating and enfleurage are part of our technical process, dependent on the available flora and other elements to respectfully create new elixirs. 

Our workshops are location bound; we forage with a group, through walking we become familiar with the surroundings. Forêt Atelier shares knowledge on plant life, types of soil, and the fauna as far as our expertise goes; next to that we appreciate the sharing of memories on nature-based on family traditions from our group members, as it is a way of keeping the culture intact.

During workshops, we pick one or two techniques on which we focus, based on wishes, the time spent and the available plants at the location. We love to collaborate with local designers who work with nature and similar techniques to create an in-depth knowledge exchange. 

We have done many walks as a solo workshop, but we also love to share from a more cultural perspective, how to conserve nature, as well as, a moment in time. The more work we do with our foraging, the more connected we become. 

The structure of these workshops consists of a few hours of foraging, a break with some of our drinks, possibly food, and then the delightful work to create the product to take home. We work intuitively, merely based on the yield of the foraging, with a few set parameters on measurements. Each person will create their own recipe, as we all have a preference for ingredients. 

The product itself sometimes needs a bit of work after the workshop; fermentations have to be taken care of, oils need to ripen and tinctures or bitters need their daily shakes or stirs. Our goal is always to give as much guidance to finish off a successful product at home, but more importantly, there is the endless inspiration to continue in a personal journey of foraging, brewing and conserving.
